Job summary

Noveon Magnetics, Inc. in San Marcos, Texas, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector (2nd Shift) to join our production team. You will inspect materials and finished products, identify defects, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

You’ll use testing equipment, record results, analyze trends with SPC, calibrate instruments, and maintain thorough documentation. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of ISO/QMS practices are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify defects.

• Record inspection results and analyze data trends using SPC to identify quality issues.
• Regularly check and calibrate measuring instruments to maintain accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of inspection findings and non-conformance reports.

About this role

Noveon Magnetics is currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical QC/QA Technician to join our production department.

A QC Inspector isresponsible for inspecting and testing products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain the company's quality control and compliance with industry regulations, often utilizing various testing methods and documenting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Regularly checking and calibrating measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Maintaining detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and non-conformance reports, communicating issues to relevant personnel.
• Following established quality standards and work instructions to ensure consistency in quality checks.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing.
• Able to move up to 50lbs.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.
