Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, a leader in mechanical power transmission components, seeks a Quality Inspector in Paragould, AR. The role focuses on inspecting, testing, and measuring work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, with documentation of data and reporting results.

You'll collaborate with shop personnel, follow safety protocols, and work 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with occasional Saturday overtime. Strong math and reading prints required; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with math skills.
• 1–2 years’ experience in manufacturing processes.
• Experience with print reading.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, test, & measure work pieces: Use precision measurement tools and test equipment to verify conformance of work pieces to part specification prints.
• Document and report: Document test and inspection data gathered and report results
• Collaborate with shop personnel: Work with manufacturing shop team members to communicate inspection and test results, problem solve and ensure manufacturing specifications are met.
• Safety adherence: Follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE for the duration of time in safety-sensitive areas.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum education/experience: Prefer High School Diploma or GED, good math skills and 1-2 years experience with manufacturing processes, print reading, precision measurement tools.
• Attention to detail: Strong focus on work accuracy and ability to read and interpret information from part specification prints.
• Availability: Full-time, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies.
• Technical knowledge: Familiarity with use of precision measurement tools, data collection, data entry and reporting.
• Teamwork: Effective and productive written and verbal communication skills and supportive interaction with others
• Reliability and accuracy: Demonstrated personal commitment to reliable work with a high standard for unbiased work accuracy.

Your Schedule

• 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
