Job summary

Mack Hils Metal Fabrication is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections and spot checks on the production floor. The role requires documenting results, maintaining records of all inspections, and supporting corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with CMM equipment, precision tools, and MS Office for record-keeping. Daily responsibilities include operating measurement tools, ensuring accuracy of measurements, and maintaining calibration records while

Qualifications

  • Read blueprints and job packets accurately.
  • Follow safety rules and MSDS Sheets; observe safety procedures.
  • Read and interpret documents such as orders, shipping documents and job procedures.
  • Follow oral and written instructions with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts using Faro Arm, CMM, tape measure, calipers and height gauge.
  • Perform daily spot checks on the production floor.
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain records.
  • Record rejections and support traceability of production.
  • Evaluate problems and propose initial corrective actions.
  • Implement inspection procedures and complete PPAP & IMDS records.

Job description

Summary

Mack Hils Metal Fabrication’s Quality Control Inspector is someone that performs inspections, spot checks, and keeps records of all inspections.

Essential Functions
  • Check parts with Faro Arm (CMM Machine), tape measure, calipers & height gage.
  • Performing daily spot checks on the production floor.
  • Accurately document the result of inspections.
  • Record all rejections from in house production and maintain records.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible Corrective Action & Preventive Action.
  • Implement inspection procedures.
  • Complete PPAP & IMDS and maintain records.
  • Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Assist with maintenance of the Inspection tool calibration records.
Required Qualifications

  • Ability to operate Computers. Knowledge and training in various computer programs including, but not limited to Excel, Microsoft Word.
