Job Description

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector ensures that all equipment, including frac stacks, API-6A gate valves, zipper manifolds, flowback equipment, and frac missiles, meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting and testing products at various stages of production to ensure they meet established quality standards, company specifications, and legal regulations, by monitoring repair & manufacturing processes, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain product consistency and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to use specialized equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2+ years valve repair and/or field service experience.
• Comprehensive leadership, coordinating, planning, and safety skills required.
• Effective verbal, written, reading, and communication skills.
• Ambitious, driven, and self-motivated personality.
• Familiarity with quality control tools & techniques, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspect materials and components: Examine raw materials, components, or parts for defects, damage, or discrepancies. Verify materials meet specifications outlined by purchase/work orders & engineering drawings.
2. Visual & dimensional inspection of all applicable equipment & components.
3. Documentation & Reporting: Record inspection results accurately, noting any non-conformities. Prepare inspection reports and provide feedback to the purchasing department for supplier performance monitoring.
4. Final Product Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of finished products before shipment, ensuring compliance with specifications, customer requirements, and internal standards. Perform functional, aesthetic, and safety tests. Verify proper painting and sealing surfaces. Check packaging condition and product security for shipping. Address non-conforming equipment prior to shipping.
5. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for recurring issues.
6. Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are certified and well maintained.
7. Maintain good housekeeping practices.
8. Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
9. Follow specific written instructions and API procedures for all tasks.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
