Job summary

Applied Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support the Quality department by inspecting weldments and gas delivery systems. The role requires reading engineering drawings, job travelers, and procedures, with strong manual dexterity and tool handling skills.

The successful candidate will perform incoming and in-process inspections, verify parts to drawings, and maintain measuring equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO-based procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with inspection, measuring, math and hand tools; good manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, job travelers, and procedures.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems is a plus (ISO 9001, 14001, or 13485).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QA department with proper inspection methods and techniques.
• Complete incoming inspections of raw materials, customer supplied parts, and purchased components.
• Verify parts to drawings.
• Perform in-process QC checks and analytical testing.
• Read project drawings, specifications, work orders, and procedures.
• Check components for proper fit & function, identifying any faulty components.
• Safely operate common manufacturing and quality tools and equipment.
• Assist in issuing, collecting, calibrating, and maintaining measuring equipment.
• Complete production paperwork and recordkeeping.
• Follow departmental processes and procedures.

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Inspector will support our Quality department by inspecting and measuring weldments and high and ultra- high purity gas delivery systems and components. In addition to being able to read and understand engineering drawings, job travelers, and written procedures, the applicant must also have experience with inspection, measuring, math, hand tools, and have good manual dexterity.

• Assist the QA department with proper inspection methods and techniques

Requirements:

• High School degree required
• 1 + years' experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing
• Must have good vision and dexterity
• Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and sit throughout the day for extended periods of time
