Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect truck and trailer bodies during manufacturing, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, use of precision tools, and collaboration with engineering and production teams.

This position requires reading blueprints, performing inspections, and documenting findings while supporting continuous improvement and root cause analysis in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in truck, trailer, automotive, or heavy equipment manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of welding inspection.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.

• Identify defects, non-conformances, and deviations from specifications.
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and assist with corrective actions.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Audit materials, parts, and finished products.
• Promote compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements.

Pay

$18.00 – $21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to inspect truck and trailer bodies throughout the manufacturing process. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet company standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations before shipment.

What You’ll Do

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/shop environment
• Exposure to noise, metal dust, insulation materials, fumes, and moving machinery
• Required use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and protective clothing
• Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands and arms.
• Must be able to communicate clearly
• Ability to bend, reach, and work around machinery
• Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment
