A construction firm in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking an individual to perform field inspections and oversee subcontractors in the commercial construction sector. You will prepare daily reports, ensure compliance with plans, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. The role requires a degree in construction or equivalent experience, along with a solid understanding of construction procedures and safety practices. This position is integral to project success and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor degree in construction or related preferred or equivalent work experience in the construction industry.
• 2-3 years of experience working in the commercial construction industry strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of construction safety.

Responsabilités

• Conduct field inspections of work in progress.
• Prepare daily reports on progress and potential concerns.
• Coordinate subcontractors, monitoring progress and adherence to plan specifications and procedures.
• Review subcontractor material submittal and shop drawings and check for compliance.
• Verify field dimensions and plan reviews.
• Check rough opening for doors and windows, in-wall rough in, and elevations.
• Review plans and field coordination with contractors.
