Job summary

Sourceability is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our warehouse in Austin, TX. You will conduct incoming inspections, perform testing and authentication of electronic components, and support counterfeit mitigation efforts through rigorous inspection and documentation.

The role demands familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, the ability to read specifications and blueprints, and strong written and verbal English.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of QC exposure in electronics or related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Adobe for managing requests.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Experience documenting nonconformances and quality records.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications.

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products and services meet the highest quality standards by leveraging your technical expertise, leadership, and knowledge of component inspection and quality assurance. Counterfeit mitigation through rigorous product authentication and physical inspection of all materials is our top priority. Upholding our commitment to due diligence, we strive to minimize the risks of sourcing from the open market. Your responsibilities will include incoming inspections, testing, and product authentication, with comprehensive training and certification support to help you excel in your role.

Insight on your impact:

  • In-depth knowledge of quality control and inspection requirements.
  • Proficient in creating, documenting, and training on processes, procedures, and work instructions, including visual aids, with a focus on inspection and AS6081 Counterfeit Mitigation practices.
  • Experienced in warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, testing (X-ray, decapsulation, XRF, solderability), inventory control, packaging, and shipping.
  • Skilled in pulling, stocking, and inventorying products, performing cycle counts, and managing physical inventories.
  • Capable of verifying products against datasheet specifications and ensuring compliance with customer-specific requirements.
  • Committed to strict adherence to ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliance standards.

Your qualifications, your influence:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

  • 1-3 years of direct experience in quality control within the electronic components industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe, with the ability to manage and organize multiple email requests.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience documenting nonconformances and maintaining accurate quality records.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and specifications to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to effectively convey information via email.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced distribution environment and handle materials as needed during inspections.
