Job summary

Environmental Air Systems designs and builds HVAC and mechanical solutions for commercial and industrial projects. We seek a Quality Control Inspector to conduct inspections, tests, and verifications, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards across production.

The role emphasizes documentation, test reporting, and coordination with Project Managers for Factory Acceptance Tests, with on-the-job training available and a first shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• A.S. in Engineering, HVAC, Welding, Business Admin or related field.
• Certified Welding Inspector or NDT Level II helpful but not required.
• Electrical or Mechanical Piping knowledge helpful but not required.
• On-the-job training and continued education provided.
• Minimum five years’ experience in this industry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Verify unit or product is manufactured per EAS and industry standards, and project documents, including specifications and drawings
• Perform equipment verification per approved submittal
• Verify all product tests have been properly executed
• Verify test reports have been properly and accurately completed
• Audit units and ensure quality checks, records and travelers are completed
• Perform inspections of all units / assemblies
• Coordinate with Project Manager concerning requirements of Factory Acceptance Test (if applicable)
• Perform or assist with vibration analysis and dynamic trim balancing on fans (if applicable)
• Perform welding inspections throughout production (if CWI- or NDT Level II-certified)
• Verify construction against fabrication drawings
• Review pipe installations per P&ID
• Coordinate with Production Designers to assist in resolving any identified issues during production
• Ensure all project documentation is completed, gathered and properly filed in the project documentation folder
• Perform other Manager-identified activities

At Environmental Air Systems (EAS), we design and build innovative HVAC and mechanical solutions for complex commercial and industrial projects.

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to join our Manufacturing team. In this role you will:

Conduct various quality control functions to include inspections, testing and monitoring of processes to ensure the highest level of quality of all products. Compile reports regarding deviations from prescribed quality standards. Conduct inspections, verify purchased equipment, conduct tests and evaluate final products. Identify and reject any identified items that do not meet engineering specifications or established quality standards. Use various types of precision tools and equipment.

Shift: 1st shift 6:00am-4:30pm

Education/Experience:

• A minimum of an A.S. in Business Administration, Engineering, Welding, HVAC or other qualifying experience
• Certified Welding Inspector or NDT Level II Visual Testing Certification is helpful, but not required
• Electrical and/or Mechanical Piping knowledge or experience is helpful, but not required
• This position will be supported by on-the-job training and continued education training
• Minimum five years’ experience in this industry or a related field will be considered in lieu of formal education as determined by management
