Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, Alabama that is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry. They are a leader in designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a global scale. A commercial aircraft manufacturer, with Space and Defense as well as Helicopters Divisions, they are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and a worldwide leader. We are looking for an Quality Documentation Specialist who is seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!

The Quality Inspector will monitor product assurance requirements and regulations, inspection plan and/or drawings and/or specifications. The Inspector will check and attest the compliance of products and ensure the contract conformity. If applicable the inspector will prepare inspection activities and test equipment aligned with inspection plans. Documentation and analysis of test results; handle non-conformities; help to improve quality of processes, tools and products.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation
  • Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements.
  • Detail the technical inspections performed in the multiple production orders SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports.
  • Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures(FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests.
  • Compile all technical data of non-conformance in order to launch the NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets for the professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation.
  • Document all the results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP based IT system.
  • Attain skills to perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence and track and maintain components during the Non Conformance process.
  • TFIX tool inspection
  • Coordination between Daher Storekeepers, Logistics, multiple Quality departments, and Inventory management team.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies.
  • Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role is highly desirable
  • Airline experience is desirable
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, an A&P license including inspection authorization is preferred.
