Job summary

Southern Concrete Materials, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Field Technician for our Waynesville, NC location to ensure product quality through ACI and ASTM testing, site visits, and pre-pour meetings.

You will collect data, analyze test results, prepare charts and reports, assist with training personnel, and recommend improvements to quality procedures while traveling to projects, sometimes early mornings or weekends.

Qualifications

• ACI Level I certification required or ability to obtain.
• 1 year of concrete testing or quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform ACI/ASTM concrete and raw material testing to manage product quality.
• Visit job sites and attend pre-pour meetings.
• Promote value-added products and collect market/job information.
• Record and analyze test data and prepare reports, charts and graphs to support quality standards.
• Assist with training operating personnel, conduct audits, and recommend improvements to quality procedures.
