Job summary

Additional Requirements for Craftworkers

• Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)
• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
• May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)

Duties

• Receipt inspections of materials received at project job sites.
• Perform and/or evaluate tests for qualification of welders and/or welding procedures to ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1
• Perform inspections and document in accordance with: Code of Construction, Government Standards and contract requirements
• QA/QC error prevention and physical inspection of construction activities including civil, concrete, epoxy anchors, structural steel, bolting (RCSC), grouting, mechanical, pressure testing, coatings, etc.
• Coordination of NDE inspection contractors.
• Conduct pressure test and document results in accordance with code and contract requirements.
• Verification of compliance to drawings, code, and project specification requirements.
• Responsible for creating and collecting verification documents for final work packages.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years or equivalent in performing inspections.
• Experience with the following codes of construction and or standards: ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS, RCSC, API and ASNT.
