Job summary

Crowder Construction Co. seeks a skilled welder to join our Southeast construction team.

You will weld pipe piles, sheet piles, H-pile and structural steel for industrial projects, lay out, fit and weld components, and ensure adherence to Crowder's QA standards. Candidates must have at least 3 years of verifiable welding experience, be able to read blueprints and weld symbols, and be willing to travel to projects across multi-state opportunities.

Qualifications

3+ years verifiable welding experience in industrial construction.
Must certify through Crowder's QA welding program.
Ability to rate information using measurable standards.
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Working knowledge of blueprints and weld symbols; visualize 3D objects from drawings.

Responsibilities

Weld pipe piles, sheet piles, H-pile and structural steel for industrial construction.
Lay out, fit, and weld components and assemblies; work with sheet metal, tanks and vessels as needed.
Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts using arc or gas welding equipment.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts.
Adhere to all safety policies and pass required safety tests.

Job description

Primary Function of Welder:

Weld pipe piles, sheet pile, H-pile and structural steel for industrial construction. Responsibilities also include lay-out, fit, and weld components and assemblies such as sheet metal, tanks, vessels breaching, and miscellaneous metal fabrication.

Typical Duties include but are not limited to:

Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metals, machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
Lay-out, position, align and fit components together.
Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts, using arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press and hand tools.
Must be safety minded and adhere to all safety policies in addition to passing a test in reference to safe operation in a trench.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

Must have 3 years verifiable experience as a welder in industrial construction.

- Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite every workday (driver's license not required)
