Job summary

MaximaTek in Austin, TX is seeking a Quality Control Engineer (Entry to Mid-Level) to ensure product and process quality through inspections, testing, and documentation. This role focuses on identifying non-conformances, conducting root-cause analysis, and developing quality plans and test methods with cross-functional teams.

Candidates with 1–5 years of QC experience and a technical engineering degree will contribute to CAPA programs, metrics reporting, and regulatory compliance to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control/QA or Manufacturing Quality.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001; IATF 16949 / AS9100 / ISO 13485 is a plus depending on industry.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, CMMs, gauges and test instruments.
• Understanding of SPC, control plans, and sampling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and test methods.
• Identify, document, and investigate non-conformances.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, and FMEA.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to implement CAPA.
• Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports on defects, process capability, and quality performance.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
