Job summary

Peckham Industries Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Crew Member to ensure dimensional conformance and complete QA documentation for precast products. The role uses electronic shop drawings and laser projection to assist setup, with inspections performed via laptops, tape measures, and other tools.

The candidate will follow safety policies, maintain QA objectives, and report findings to engineering and management, while staying current with PCI/industry QA codes and daily records.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/construction environment preferred.
• Quality control experience; on-the-job training available.
• High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical school preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written English.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade I and/or PCI Level I/II certifications required after hire (Level I may move to Level II).

Responsibilities

• Protect safety policies and OSHA guidelines from start of work.
• Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives aligned with corporate goals.
• Conduct quality inspections and document findings following procedures.
• Review data to ensure consistency with established standards and policies.
• Communicate findings to management and staff; organize documentation of QA results.
• Develop new approaches to solve QA-related problems.
• Coordinate with Engineering for corrective actions on non-conforming products.
• Maintain knowledge of PCI standards and daily QA records and filing.
• Keep work area clean and equipment organized.

Overview

As a Quality Control Crew Member, you are responsible for ensuring dimensional conformance, confirming proper overall setup and completing required quality control documentation of our precast product. Dailey Precast utilizes electronic shop drawings consisting of a 3D model of components being constructed as well as a laser projection system to assist with setup processes. QC members utilize laptops or tablets to conduct their quality inspections along with inspection tools (tape measure, square, level, etc…) and the laser system. QC members document results electronically for record keeping and to help identify improvement opportunities.
