OSM Thome Limited is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator for offshore hook-up work on an Accommodation / Flotel DP3 Vessel. The position covers worldwide activities, currently based in Romania, with a 12‑month renewable contract and a 35/35 rotation.

Overtime is applicable and insurance is provided by the company. Requires 12+ years in quality control within industrial construction or fabrication, plus 10+ years leading inspection teams.

• At least 12 years in quality control within industrial construction or fabrication projects.
• 10+ years leading multidisciplinary inspection teams and coordinating activities.
• Background in fabrication, construction and offshore execution, including hook‑up works.
• Senior welding inspector certifications or equivalents required.
• Coating inspection qualifications or equivalents required.
• Knowledge of QC across welding, coatings, piping, steel, NDT, E&I, and materials.
• Understanding of quality requirements for electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection planning and documentation.
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and oversee all site quality control activities to ensure project compliance.
• Coordinate daily inspection personnel across multiple disciplines.
• Review records, test reports, certification packages, and quality docs for completeness.
• Monitor fabrication, installation and hook-up work for adherence to procedures.
• Liaise with construction, engineering, subcontractors and client reps to resolve issues.
• Verify material traceability and completion of quality records before acceptance.
• Support mechanical completion by ensuring inspection and documentation are satisfied.
• Promote consistent implementation of quality processes and drive continual improvement.

Explore this job opportunity as a Quality Control Coordinator (Hook Up) for an Accommodation / Flotel DP3 Vessel operating Worldwide (currently in Romania). Employment will be with our client, a drilling and construction contractor.

Information about the job:

• Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator (Hook Up).
• Project: Accommodation / Flotel DP3 Vessel.
• Location: Worldwide (currently in Romania).
• Duration: 12 months (renewable).
• Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
• Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid only while working.
• Start date: Approximately beginning August 2026.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• At least 12 years' experience in quality control within industrial construction or fabrication projects.
• Minimum 10 years leading and coordinating multidisciplinary inspection teams.
• Demonstrated background in fabrication, construction, and offshore execution activities, including platform installation and hook-up works.
• Valid certification as a senior welding inspector (e.g. CSWIP 3.2, AWS QC1/CWI, PCN Level 3, IIW CWI-C, or equivalent).
• Coating inspection qualification such as NACE Level 2, FROSIO Level 3, or an equivalent credential.
• Working knowledge of quality control across welding, coatings, piping, structural steel, non destructive testing, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical completion, and material certification.
• Practical understanding of quality requirements for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection planning, documentation, and compliance throughout project execution.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Tasks:

• Direct and oversee all site quality control activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Coordinate the daily activities of inspection personnel across multiple technical disciplines.
• Review inspection records, test reports, certification packages, and quality documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor fabrication, installation, and hook-up work to verify adherence to approved procedures and quality requirements.
• Liaise with construction, engineering, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
• Verify material traceability, inspection status, and completion of quality records before work acceptance.
• Support mechanical completion activities by ensuring inspection and documentation requirements are fully satisfied.
• Promote consistent implementation of quality processes and contribute to continual improvement initiatives.
