Job summary

OSM Thome Limited is seeking a Welding QC Supervisor to oversee welding inspections on worldwide offshore vessels. You will ensure QC plan implementation, material traceability, and compliance with quality requirements.

Requirements include 10–15 years in inspection/NDT, CSWIP 3.1, MT/UT/LP Level 2 qualifications, and offshore lifting experience, with strong English proficiency. 12-month renewable contract; monthly salary discussed with the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in inspector and NDT check tasks
• CSWIP 3.1 certified
• MT/UT/LP Level 2 qualifications as listed (ISO 9712 or equivalent PCN)
• Experience with offshore heavy lifting vessels is preferred
• Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Supervise welding inspection activities and verify QC plans implementation
• Ensure materials, consumables, equipment, and measuring instruments are received, stored, calibrated, identified, and traceable
• Monitor welding inspections, tests, and NDT activities per approved procedures
• Review inspection reports and project documentation for accuracy
• Support qualification and assessment of inspection personnel and subcontractors
• Manage quality documentation for final handover and as-built dossiers
• Verify NCR management and corrective actions
• Coordinate QC activities and personnel on project sites and offshore vessels

• Job Title: Welding QC Supervisor.

• Location: Worldwide.
• Rotation: 35/35 on/off.
• Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly.
• Contract duration : 12 months (renewable).
• Start date: TBC.
• Insurance: Provided by the Company.
• Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• 10 to 15 years in the in the Inspector and NDT Check task.
• CSWIP 3.1.
• Magnetic Particle Test (MT) ISO 9712 LEVEL 2 or PCN Level 2.
• Ultrasonic Test (UT) ISO 9712 LEVEL 2 or PCN Level 2 (3.1, 3.2. 3.8 3.9, Butt Welds in plate, Butt welds in pipe, T Joint Welds, Nozzle Welds, Node Welds).
• Liquid Penetrate Inspections (LP) ISO 9712 or PCN Level 2.
• Some experience in Offshore Heavy Lifting vessel.
• Proficiency in English.

Tasks:

• Supervise welding inspection activities and verify implementation of Quality Control Plans.
• Ensure materials, consumables, equipment, and measuring instruments are properly received, stored, calibrated, identified, and traceable.
• Monitor welding inspections, tests, and NDT activities, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
• Review inspection reports, quality records, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support qualification and assessment of inspection personnel and subcontractors.
• Manage quality documentation and ensure proper inclusion in final handover and As-Built dossiers.
• Verify effective NCR management and corrective action implementation.
• Coordinate QC activities and personnel allocation on project sites and offshore vessels when required.
