Job summary

LKQ Corporation is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Crystal River, FL. You will clean, inspect, and prepare LKQ parts for shipment, communicating discrepancies to sales reps as needed. You’ll also assist with loading trailers and support other duties as assigned.

The role requires safety-conscious handling, basic math, and familiarity with Outlook/Office tools, with forklift experience preferred. Eligible for benefits as listed.

• 0+ years of related experience required.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean parts and prepare them for shipment.
• Inspect parts for description and quality.
• Communicate discrepancies with sales reps by email or phone.
• Prepare shipments with protective packing for parts and panels.
• Assist loading semi-trailers using a fork truck.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Clean, inspect, and prepare safely LKQ products for shipment and delivery of high-quality parts to our customers.

Essential Job Duties

• Clean parts – buff small parts, power wash the drive train, and clean panels with soap and water.
• Inspect parts – matching description and quality to how they were inventoried.
• Communicate with sales reps – Using email and/or phone to describe any discrepancies in quality or inventory of the part.
• Prepare for shipment – protect all small parts with bubble wrap and place them in a cardboard box, wrap bumpers with a protective cover, and place doors in racks divided by foam pads.
• Load semi-trailers going to other LKQ facilities – prepare racks with panels and small parts to be loaded on semi-trailers via a fork truck.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Not responsible for supervising employees.

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 0+ years of related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics.
• Basic messages communicated orally.
• May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
• Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
• Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines for how to complete work activities; works closely with supervisor/manager who provides broad guidance and overall direction.
• Prioritize assigned and routine tasks. Handle appropriately.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.

The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions.

May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
