Job summary

Grifols in Clayton, NC is seeking an Assistant Chemist / Associate Chemist for its Quality Control Laboratory. The role involves performing chemical testing of materials for release, following procedures, and maintaining complete records.

The position supports release testing and may train other chemists while ensuring GMP/GLP compliance. Primary duties include calibrating equipment, performing routine and non-routine assays, and adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced lab

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or related field required or BS/BA in chemistry.
• Minimum six months of applicable laboratory experience for Assistant Chemist; higher for Associate Chemist.
• Follows GMP/GLP and maintains complete records; attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine chemical testing (assays) per procedures.
• Operate and maintain instruments (HPLC, GC, IC, spectrophotometry).
• Calibrate equipment and perform maintenance; document results clearly.
