Job summary

Rowe Casa Organics is seeking a Quality Control Chemist to join the Quality Department. You will test samples from all products and facilities, document results, and ensure compliance with GMP standards.

The role emphasizes analytical testing, protocol development, and rigorous record-keeping to drive product safety and quality. Responsibilities include performing analyses, calibrating instruments (IR, UV, HPLC), and preparing technical reports for QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
• Ability to plan and execute experimental protocols.
• Knowledge of laboratory tests and instrumentation used for product testing.
• Experience with cGMP facilities is a plus.
• Strong analytical writing and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses on materials and samples across manufacturing facilities.
• Test component samples for contamination and document results.
• Record all incoming ingredients and prepare testing records.
• Develop protocols, test methods, and final reports for QA audits.
• Audit environmental programs and review GMP-related activities.
• Maintain accuracy of lab records and monitor finished products.

About the Position:

The Quality Control Chemist will be part of the Quality Department reporting to the QC Manager or designee. This position will be responsible of the analytical laboratory for testing samples of RCO products across all manufacturing facilities and logistics.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory analysis on all materials and samples.
• Perform tests on component samples, identify any contamination, conduct an analysis and initiate corrective measures.
• Perform tests on all incoming ingredients and document all records.
• Develop and prepare research papers and documents for all protocols.
• Perform audits on various environmental programs and perform reviews.
• Develop various testing processes for all raw materials and equipment. Monitor all finished products.
• Investigate all issues and prevent any GMP problems on samples.
• Maintain accurate records and perform tests on all activities conducted in the laboratory.
• Develop and document various analytical laboratory processes and prepare final reports.
• Any other duties and responsibilities required by Quality Management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, biochemistry, or another relevant field.
• Ability to plan and execute experimental protocols.
• Knowledge of laboratory tests, IR, UV, HPLC, etc.
• Proficient in methods and practices of microbiological analysis.
• Ability to prepare research papers and technical reports (is a plus).
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
• Previous experience in a cGMP facility is a plus.
• Excellent laboratory skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
