Client Electronics in Branchburg, NJ is seeking a Quality Scientist to join the QC Analytical/Metals group for lithography chemicals and formulations used in semiconductor fabrication. This hands-on role requires 80% lab time and a schedule typically from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Chemistry, Physics, or related scientific discipline.
  • 1+ years of science or technology related industrial experience in QC environment.
  • Associates Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related scientific discipline.
  • 4+ years of science or tech related industrial experience in a QC environment.

Job description

Client Electronics is seeking a highly Quality Scientist for our Branchburg location. You will join the QC Analytical/Metals group for the analysis lithography chemicals and other formulations used in the semiconductor fabrication industry, in Branchburg, NJ.

This is a hands-on role with 80% of time spent in the lab.

The work schedule, typically from 7 am to 3:30 pm

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Performes routine and non-routine sample analysis
  • Conducts hands-on laboratory work
  • Operate and maintain analytical equipment
  • Provides analytical and troubleshooting support for product quality issues
  • Transfer methods between instruments
  • Works closely with quality, production, R&D and commercial teams to ensure rapid delivery of products to customers
  • Work with auto titrators, HPLC, GPC and GC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES and GFAA
  • Adhere to and support the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program at the site
Physical Attributes
  • Lifting of up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Work with organic solvents and chemicals
  • BSc in Chemistry, Physics, or related Scientific discipline
  • 1 + years of science or technology related industrial experience in QC environment

OR

  • Associates Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related Scientific discipline
  • 4 + years of science or tech related industrial experience in a QC environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ Hands on experience with Perkin Elmer and/or Agilent ICP-MS systems
  • ICP-MS direct organic analysis experience
  • Experience with GFAA and OES-ICP
  • Experience in clean room environment
  • Experience with data entry into a laboratory data management system
  • Experience with other chromatographic (GC, HPLC, GPC) and spectroscopic instruments
  • A strong technical understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry
  • Strong fundamentals and practical experience in the use of statistics (Measurement System Analysis, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical tools such as Excel, Minitab, JMP
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to function independently and efficiently under the guidance of management and have good communications skills.
  • Ability to recognize existing problems, foresee potential problems, and implement measures to eliminate or reduce the probability of occurrence and/or minimize their impact
  • Proactive candidate who can work in a group environment
