Job summary

BD in USA NE - Columbus is seeking a CAPA Quality professional to lead quality investigations, support CAPAs, and ensure compliance with cGMP in a manufacturing setting. The role requires 3–5 years of experience or an QA-related degree and proficiency with SAP and statistical methods.

The candidate will work on D Shift (6:00PM–6:00AM) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement in quality processes at the Columbus Molding Center.

Qualifications

• Must have resume on file.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience or associate’s degree in quality assurance or related field.
• Quality System knowledge and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate and update Quality Notifications and initiate risk assessments and root cause investigations.
• Establish product containment regarding non-conforming material.
• Apply and interpret ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 and other sampling plans; monitor reinspection and perform statistical sampling.
• Perform statistical data analysis (Excel, Minitab).
• Provide CAPA support.
• Support product complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to manufacturing and management for quality issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities (Kaizens, Blitzes, Validations) and conduct machine and process capability studies.
• Trend quality metrics and investigate problem areas in manufacturing and report findings or corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and respond to urgent matters.
• Familiar with specifications and documentation for operations.
• Comply with plant cGMP and safety policies.
• Assist and support manufacturing unit team and plant goals.
• Communicate daily with Quality Control Representatives.
