Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Quality Control Analyst I – Microbial Control for the night shift. Based onsite, you will perform microbiological tests on in-process and final product samples, support environmental monitoring, and document results in compliance with GMP and data integrity standards.

The role requires an associate’s degree in a related science, familiarity with aseptic techniques, and strong attention to detail.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related science required or preferred.
• Experience in GMP or regulated labs is preferred.
• Ability to interpret data and identify trends or deviations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and documentation practices.
• Comfortable in cleanroom environments and able to perform physical tasks if needed.

Quality Control Analyst I – Microbial Control (Night)

Location: Portsmouth, NH, (On-site)

As a QC Analyst in Microbial Control at our Portsmouth site, you will support the testing of in-process and final product samples to ensure the safety and quality of drug products. You will perform microbiological testing, support environmental and utility monitoring, and deliver accurate results to meet manufacturing timelines. This role is based onsite, where hands‑on laboratory work and collaboration are essential to maintaining quality and compliance with cGMP standards.

This position follows a Sunday–Wednesday schedule, with working hours from 7:30 PM to 5:30 AM.

What you will do:

• Perform microbiological testing for in-process, release, and stability samples
• Support environmental and utility monitoring, including HVAC and facility sampling

• Participate in routine lab activities, including sample handling and documentation

What we are looking for:

• Associate’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related science field
• Experience in a GMP or regulated laboratory environment preferred
• Ability to interpret data and identify trends or deviations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Prior laboratory experience, familiar with aseptic techniques and strong documentation practices, preferred
• Comfortable working in cleanroom environments, including performing physical tasks such as climbing ladders when needed
