Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Quality Control Analyst I for our Walkersville, MD facility. This full-time role supports GMP manufacturing operations, performing routine laboratory sampling and testing with emphasis on environmental monitoring and material testing.

The position requires an associate degree or technical certification and at least two years of regulated laboratory experience, with strong attention to detail and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree to qualify; GMP laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech/regulated lab.
• Experience with routine laboratory testing and sample handling in a GMP environment.
• Exposure to environmental monitoring, sampling, and cGMP/data integrity standards is preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures, maintain records, and execute testing with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sampling and testing of environmental monitoring, utilities, raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples per approved procedures and cGMP.
• Execute testing within established timelines while maintaining accuracy, quality and compliance.
• Document, review, and report laboratory data per GDP/ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
• Conduct environmental monitoring in classified manufacturing and lab environments (viable/non-viable, surface, personnel).
• Support sample receipt, handling, storage, inventory tracking, and shipment coordination with external labs.
