Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Quality Control Analyst I for our Walkersville, MD facility. The role involves routine sampling and testing across environmental monitoring, utilities, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, ensuring cGMP compliance and ALCOA+ data integrity.

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent along with at least 2 years in a GMP lab. Strong documentation, organization, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sampling and testing of environmental monitoring, utilities, raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples.
• Execute laboratory testing within established timelines with accuracy and compliance.
• Document, review, and report laboratory data according to GDP/ALCOA+ standards.
• Conduct environmental monitoring in classified environments including air, surface, and personnel monitoring as applicable.
• Support sample receipt, handling, storage, inventory tracking, and external laboratory coordination.
• Assist day-to-day lab operations, including housekeeping, inventory, material stocking, and equipment care.
• Identify, document, and escalate deviations or OOS results per quality procedures.
• Participate in training and support validation or continuous improvement projects.
