Job summary

Silgan Plastics Corporation is seeking a quality assurance technician to perform testing and inspections in a GMP environment. You will apply optical comparisons, ABVIS and Gainseeker systems, and perform routine leak tests and drop tests as part of quality control.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate logs, using digital scales, performing color and layer thickness tests, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and LOTO requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required for data entry and documentation.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word for record keeping.
• Familiarity with test software and measurement equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and inspections in a GMP environment.
• Maintain logs and use measurement devices for testing.
• Conduct leakage, drop, color, and layer thickness tests.
• Operate ABVIS and Gainseeker systems as part of QC.
• Assist with production systems and basic analytics.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing work safely and in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards.
• Proper use of LOTO Understanding and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Understand the use of digital scales for all affected test methods.
• Become proficient in the use of all hand measurement devices.
• Top-load testing and procedures.
• Layer thickness testing and procedures.

• Visual inspections for attributes.
