Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, CATIA models, company standards, work instructions, and perform necessary calculations using shop math to conform tooling, detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Perform complete inspection of components, major assemblies, sub-assemblies, production tools, or parts during manufacturing, modifications, installations to determine safety or conformance to standards and requirements.
- Interpret and check complex prints, engineering change orders, and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications.
- Apply technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, etc., to determine and sign off safety, airworthiness, or conformance.
- Use precision measuring guides, gauges, and laboratory instruments.
- Suggest dispositions of damaged or worn parts and the possibility of salvage based on FAA regulations, company practices, or procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five (5) years aircraft related experience.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- Good knowledge of FAA regulations as pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.
- Must have required tools.
- Able to work on maintenance stands, extending to 25 feet.
- Able to work in confined spaces and in unusual positions.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, and cleaning solvents.
- Able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Computer literacy.
- Able to communicate technical information clearly to supervisory personnel, flight crews, and customers.
- Shift: Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm.
