Job summary

Senior Helpers of Lee's Summit seeks a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to support seniors at home with daily tasks and personal care. You will follow individualized care plans to keep clients safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

No prior caregiving experience is required as training will be provided; strong heart for the elderly is key. We offer flexible schedules and competitive pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Must pass a state background check.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with valid auto insurance.
• Have at least 6+ months of previous work history.
• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance (ADL\'s): Assist with hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mouth and skin care, and toileting.
• Mobility Support: Help clients transfer and move safely using wheelchairs, walkers, gait belts, or hoyer lift/sit-to-stand.
• Meal Preparation: Plan and cook nutritious meals according to client preferences and needs.
• Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their medications safely and on schedule.
• Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to support emotional well-being.
• Specialized Monitoring: Provide specialized observation and care for clients living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
• Transportation & Errands: Drive clients to doctor appointments, grocery stores, or beauty salons using your vehicle or the client\'s vehicle.
• Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean living space by vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, gathering trash, changing bed linens, and doing light laundry.
