About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Automation Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our web applications through automated testing and continuous integration. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product managers to design and implement robust test automation frameworks, validate functionality, and maintain high-quality standards across the software development lifecycle.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as tech lead on initiatives and as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.

What You Bring To The Table:

• 3+ years in software quality assurance with a focus on automation.

• 3+ years of programming skills in Java or other object-oriented languages.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle or Snowflake.

• 3+ years with Git-based source control systems.

• 3+ years with CI/CD tools and integrating automated testing in pipelines.

• 3+ years with test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, or similar.

• 3+ years with performance or load testing tools.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Other Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to behavior-driven development (BDD) tools such as Cucumber.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Non-profit industry subject matter expertise.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  

What You Will Be Doing In This Role:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web-based applications.

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java or another object-oriented programming language.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure test coverage, code quality, and rapid feedback loops through CI/CD pipelines.

• Work with databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, Snowflake) to validate backend data integrity and test data setup.

• Utilize Git-based source control systems to manage code changes and support branching strategies.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

• Participate in code reviews, test case reviews, and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

• Troubleshoot and analyze failures, isolate bugs, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

• Maintain documentation for automation processes, tools, and best practices.

• Travel for in-person work meetings and company gatherings is required (Very infrequent).
