Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of software QA experience with automation
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Appium
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end tests

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, API, and desktop apps
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and Appium in C#
  • Develop QA automation agents to improve test execution and reporting
  • Perform mobile testing on iOS and Android platforms including functional and regression testing
  • Automate desktop app testing to validate critical business workflows
  • Collaborate with Dev, Product, and QA to create test cases and automation strategies
  • Identify quality issues, troubleshoot failures, and drive continuous testing improvements
  • Analyze test results, investigate defects, and provide feedback to stakeholders
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
  • Maintain code quality via version control, reusable components, and standards
  • Stay updated on automation tools and AI-assisted QA trends and security testing

Position Summary

J. J. Keller is hiring for a Quality Automation Engineer who willdesign, build, and maintain automated testing solutions across web, mobile, API, and desktop applications using technologies such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and CI/CD pipelines.

This position will work closely with Development, Product, and QA teams to help improve test coverage, increase release confidence, and drive continuous improvements in quality engineering practices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, leveraging emerging technologies, and making a direct impact on product quality and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks that support efficient and scalable testing processes across web, mobile, API, and desktop applications.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Sele-nium with C#, Appium and other applicable automation frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain QA automation agents to support test execution, validation, monitor-ing, reporting, and productivity improvements within the QA process.
  • Perform mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms, including functional, regression, compatibility, and end-to-end testing.
  • Automate desktop application testing using appropriate tools and frameworks to validate business-critical workflows and ensure application stability.
  • Work closely with Development, Product, and QA teams to understand requirements and create comprehensive test cases, test plans, and automation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, troubleshoot automation failures, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.
  • Analyze automated test results, investigate defects, and provide meaningful feedback to stakeholders.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent validation throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain automation code quality through version control, code reviews, reusable compo-nents, and adherence to established automation standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging automation tools, AI-assisted QA solutions, and test engineering best practices; recommend approaches to improve automation efficiency and coverage.
  • Apply knowledge of OWASP standards and secure testing practices to identify potential security risks and support secure application development.
Qualifications
Experience
  • 3+ years software QA Experience using automation tools.
  • Experience with automated testing tools - Selenium, Appium strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end test automation
Education
  • Associate's degree in a Computer Science or technology-related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • In lieu of degree, may be considered a combination of education and related work experience.
  • Required: Certification in Software Testing, Test Automation, or a related QA discipline.
  • Preferred certifications include: ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Certified Selenium Professional, Playwright certification/training, or other relevant automa-tion testing certification.
Computer Skills
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in C#, Java, python, or other similar languages.
  • Automation Tools: Selenium, NUnit, Appium preferred.
  • Version Control Systems: Git or similar tools for code management.
  • Knowledge of database concepts for a SQL or NoSQL database.
Other Requirements
  • Familiarity with Continuous integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Knowledge of SDLC, STLC and BDD a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, Attention to detail and Organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team focused on specific deliverables and objectives.
Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.

The compensation range for this role is $86,000.00 to $96,000.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location.
