Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Auditor (2nd Shift) in St. Louis to perform follow-up checks on quality problems, collect samples, and conduct audits of parts and laminations. You will support supervisors, evaluate material against specs, and help implement process controls and work instructions.

The role requires interpreting measuring devices, strong math skills, good communication, and at least 3 years in quality tasks. Shift flexibility with overtime is expected, with a 2nd shift pay premium.

Qualifications

• Interpret various measuring devices.
• Good communication skills.
• Nice to have basic computer knowledge.
• High level math skills are required.
• Flexible shifts for overtime as needed.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the listed tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisors and Managers with follow-up checks on quality problems.
• Obtain samples from material and evaluate adherence to specifications.
• Perform random audits of stamped parts and lamination.
• Obtain samples from outgoing products to ensure quality standards.
• Perform Epstein testing on raw material for incoming and furnace monitoring.
• Assist in creation of processes, control plans, and work instructions.
• Use all types of measuring devices, gauges, micrometers, etc.
• Learn to write/modify VMM/CMM programs for product analysis.
• Learn basic statistical analysis.
• Learn laboratory procedures including calibration and metallographic analysis.
• Use Access database to monitor non-conforming material.
• Rework non-conforming material as necessary.
• Ensure quality parts and laminations meet customer specs.
• Obtain Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification; CQI within 2 years.
