Job summary

Timken Aerospace’s Lebanon, NH facility seeks a quality auditor for a 2nd shift to oversee inspections and ensure conformance to EPS/IP. The role focuses on supervision of inspectors, training verification, and certification checks to uphold aerospace quality standards.

The candidate will conduct process audits, compare procedures to work instructions, and drive continuous improvement within the Quality Management System, collaborating with peers and customers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years in Quality or manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, schematics, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection Oversight: Ensure inspectors perform inspections and complete paperwork per EPS/IP.
  • Process Audits: Conduct audits on manufacturing, cleaning, and product acceptance processes and verify latest work instructions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to improve Timken Aerospace’s Quality Management System.

Quality Auditor – Aerospace Manufacturing (2nd Shift)

Core Responsibilities
  • Inspection Oversight
    • Ensure Component and Final Inspectors perform inspections and complete paperwork according to work instructions such as Engineering Process Specifications (EPS) and Inspection Procedures (IP).
    • Verify inspectors’ training, certification, and use of proper gauging techniques.
  • Process Audits
    • Conduct audits on manufacturing, cleaning, and product acceptance processes.
    • Compare procedures against work instructions and ensure the latest versions are used.
    • Verify personnel certification and pursue corrective actions for any deficiencies.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Focus on improving Timken Aerospace’s Quality Management System.
    • Lead problem‑solving and conflict resolution efforts with peers, supervisors, and customers.
General Qualifications / Skills & Experience
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Quality or applicable manufacturing experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.

Physical Requirements
  • Use of hands, legs, both near/far vision, and conversational hearing.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Long periods of walking or standing.
