Maysteel-Industries-LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform measurement, testing, and analysis across the production flow from receiving inspection to final audits. You will develop part-specific inspection plans and collect data from OQA, OBA, and capability studies.
The role requires reading prints, establishing function points, and performing FAI and PPAP inspections, with data entry into appropriate databases. ISO procedures and 6S practices are integral to daily activities.
This position is responsible for measurement, testing and analysis of products and processes, from Receiving Inspection through final Out-of-Box audits. The position will develop part specific inspection plans as well as collect and enter data from various sources, such as Outgoing Quality Audits (OQA), Out-of-Box Audits (OBA) and Capability Studies.
High School Diploma or GED and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable Certifications: Internal Auditor Certification, ASQ CQI, CQT, or CQA
This position reports to the Business Unit Manager and has no direct reports.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from production groups.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
