Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor – Assembly to inspect incoming materials and audit work in process and finished goods for quality and customer specifications.

The role includes verifying cgmp adherence, reviewing production paperwork, data recording, and coordinating with Project Managers and customers as needed. Candidates should understand quality systems and be prepared for overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED minimum.
  • Knowledge of quality systems (cgmp, SOP) preferred.
  • Proficient math and computer skills.

Summary :

The Quality Assurance Auditor – Assembly position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, audits work in process and finished goods to assure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Inspect incoming materials to assure conformance with specifications and release materials for use in production.
  • Audit assembly lines during the production process ensuring compliance with work order specifications, and that the finished product meets customer requirements.
  • Verify compliance with cGMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Review, approve and release production paperwork in order to facilitate customer shipments.
  • Communicate paperwork issues to operations, if necessary.
  • Record data for internal analysis of finished goods.
  • Communicate with Project Managers and Customers, if necessary.
  • Communicate Company policies, procedures, and customer requirements to other WRMD employees and to participate/assist in their development as needed.
  • Participate in and/or assist with internal QA audits, Customer audits, and Regulatory Agency audits as required.
  • Assist with and/or conduct cGMP training, if requested.
  • Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overtime is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Expressed another way: Related Machine Speed (P) x Crewed Hours (A)/ Good Sheets Out (Q). This section evaluates the employee’s performance to maximize the OEE on his/her machine.

Attendance/Punctuality - Includes being present and ready for work as expected. Indicators are attendance records, number of times tardy, frequency of lateness returning from scheduled breaks or meal times, work readiness, and preparedness to begin work on time. (Three unexcused tardies equals one unexcused absence)

Procedures/Documentation/Reporting - Refers to the importance of following procedures, carefully and thoroughly documenting critical activities, including training, and to the accurate reporting of information. Indicators include the following established procedures, documenting essential processes, preparing accurate, timely, legible, and complete reports. Education and/or Experience

Mathematical Skills

Other Qualifications

The Quality Assurance Auditor position requires previous knowledge of quality systems or Assembly experience; proficient math and computer skills.
