Trillium Foods in Brundidge, AL, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician – Production for the 2nd shift. This role ensures product quality and safety during production, including allergen control and sanitation verifications.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn QA procedures. Training will be provided to support growth in food safety and production processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform required quality assurance checks throughout the production process.
• Verify and document allergen changeovers.
• Conduct allergen swabs and ATP swabbing as needed for in-process changes.
• Perform in-process sanitation verifications during the production day.
• Support product changeovers and cleaning verification during active production.
• Complete quality and food safety documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow established procedures and specifications when performing quality checks.
• Identify and communicate quality or food safety concerns to the team.
• Participate in QA and food safety training as directed by QA Manager.
• Work with Production to support product quality and safety.
• Follow GMPs, food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, and plant safety policies.

Quality Assurance Technician – Production

Schedule: Full-time

Shift: 2nd Shift

Pay: $17.00/hour, including shift differential

This position is fully onsite in Brundidge, AL. Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician supports food safety and quality operations during production in a sauce manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Production to ensure products meet established quality, food safety, and regulatory standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Previous quality assurance or food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Training will be provided to help the right candidate learn our quality procedures, food safety requirements, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform required quality assurance checks throughout the production process.
• Verify and document allergen changeovers.
• Conduct allergen swabs and ATP swabbing as needed for in-process changes.
• Perform in-process sanitation verifications during the production day.
• Support product changeovers and cleaning verification during active production.
• Complete quality and food safety documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow established procedures and specifications when performing quality checks.
• Identify and immediately communicate quality or food safety concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Participate in required QA and food safety training and demonstrate understanding of procedures as directed by the QA Manager.
• Work closely with Production and other team members to support product quality and food safety.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, and plant safety policies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, sanitation, laboratory work, or a similar production environment preferred, but not required.
• Sauce or liquid food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Environmental monitoring experience is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to learn quality assurance, food safety, allergen, and sanitation procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and consistently.
• Basic math skills.
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around production equipment, food ingredients, and cleaning chemicals.
