Summary: A Quality Assurance (QA) Technician ensures that products and services meet specific quality standards. They conduct inspections, tests, and analyses to identify and resolve defects before they reach the end user. QA Techs also contribute to maintaining and improving quality management systems, often training others on quality control procedures and documenting quality control activities.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A Quality Assurance Technician in a manufacturing or warehouse environment typically has physical demands, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. They may also be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Depending on the industry, they may also be exposed to environmental conditions like extreme heat or cold. Additionally, they may need to work near moving machinery and wear personal protective equipment.
