Job summary

Engineered Wire in Rome, NY is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will test and inspect materials, monitor product quality, maintain records, and support production to meet quality standards and customer requirements.

You will work with operators and supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production, while contributing to continuous improvement and calibration activities within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate in accordance with safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Test in-process materials and finished goods per procedures.
• Inspect materials on the production floor and identify finished goods.
• Perform in-process audits and compare production against quality standards.
• Track and report rejections, audits, and quality data.
• Maintain calibration records for multiple facilities.
• Perform engineering sample and failure analysis testing.
• Complete weld certifications and maintain records.
• Order, stock, and prepare lab solutions and chemicals.
• Serve as calibration representative during audits.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and shifts across the organization.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new department staff.
• Support lean manufacturing and suggest improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
