Job summary

ABM Industries in Phoenix, AZ seeks a detail-oriented QA Technician to support quality assurance activities within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will perform inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure tools, installations, and processes meet Client standards, NFPA 70 and 70E, OEM specifications, and regulatory compliance.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills, strict cleanroom discipline, and collaborative teamwork with cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Active TDLR Journey worker Electrical License.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and quality checks on tool installations and materials.
• Verify compliance with NFPA 70 and 70E, OEM specifications, drawings, and Client quality standards.
• Document findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Assist with root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
• Use measurement tools and test equipment to validate work quality.
• Maintain accurate QA logs, reports, and documentation.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow all cleanroom and PPE requirements.
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Overview

The position requires strong analytical skills, adherence to cleanroom protocols, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Valid and Active TDLR Journey worker Electrical License.
• Advanced understanding of quality principles, NFPA 70 and 70E, OEM documentation, and inspection/testing techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Experience in cleanroom or semiconductor environments is a plus.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, multi-meters, micro-ohmmeters, megohmmeters, gauges).

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years as a Journeyman electrician level or better.
• Computer skills: Strong MS Office, SharePoint a plus.
• Previous QA, inspection, or technician experience in industrial or high-tech settings.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
