Job summary

RIX Industries in Sparks, NV, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician II to apply and maintain the Quality System, determine the acceptability of parts, and generate inspection records. The role requires performing receiving, in-process and final inspections on aerospace, marine, and commercial units.

Responsibilities include supporting and proposing changes to the Quality Management System, training peers, and maintaining calibration and government property records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 Years experience in Quality Control or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and complex equipment.
• Ability to read and understand corporate structure and how Quality Control affects operations.
• General computer skills including Microsoft Office and basic typing.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of parts, processes, repairs and corrective actions using basic and advanced inspection equipment.
• Perform Receiving inspection.
• Perform In-Process inspection.
• Perform Final inspection.
• Perform Final Inspection of Commercial Units and Aerospace/Marine units.
• Maintain inspection and calibration records and support QMS changes.
• Train and supervise other Quality Technicians.
• Maintain government property records and documentation.
