What Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health

Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications. Quality Control is responsible for the analysis or inspection of materials, components, products, or processes for compliance with specifications and standards.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician II performs varied product inspections or analysis generally of finished goods components, incoming materials, or new products, by observing, measuring, and recording data using applicable measurement tools. This role is heavily focused on Document History Record (DHR) review, product release, and coordination with multiple levels of the plant to ensure documents are compliant, accurate, and ready for release upon submission to the document release coordinator. The role will also act as a "floater" to assist in any inspections, audits, checkbacks, and containment activities as needed. This position works a split shift: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 3:00 am.

Shift Details

  • 11:00 am to 7:00 pm - Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Performs detailed Document History Record (DHR) reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Coordinates product release activities, collaborating with various departments to gather necessary documentation and verify adherence to release criteria.
  • Communicates effectively with multiple levels of the organization to address document discrepancies, provide guidance on quality requirements, and expedite the document review and release process.
  • Conducts product inspections or analysis of finished goods components, incoming materials, or new products, by observing, measuring, and recording data using applicable measurement tools.
  • Compiles and inputs data, documents and process findings, and interprets results.
  • Works with multiple departments to support quality operations, including participation in inspections, audits, checkbacks, and containment activities as needed.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of testing methods, product usage, and applicable procedures according to regulations and standards, and adheres to established policies and procedures. Participates in the establishment of future inspection procedures.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates potential quality issues.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience, preferred
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Anticipated hourly range:$15.60 per hour - $22.40 per hour (includes shift differential)
