Quality Assurance Technician I - 3rd Shift - $3000 Retention Bonus

Job Details

Pay Range: $21.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Location: River Falls, WI

Job Purpose

Assist in implementing and supporting standards to ensure quality and food safety of products, monitoring and sampling quality control plans and process procedures to meet standards.

Hours of Work

Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Essential Functions
  1. Perform daily QA walk-throughs and verify GMP adherence.
  2. Monitor plant operations for sanitary procedures.
  3. Conduct pre-operational inspections for food safety and quality.
  4. Manage hold processes for non-conforming products and materials.
  5. Verify batch formulas and labels meet specifications.
  6. Monitor CCPs and preventive controls.
  7. Perform equipment calibration and basic analytical testing.
  8. Conduct environmental swabbing and testing for allergens, bacteria, and pathogens.
  9. Collect and record product samples and temperature readings.
  10. Identify and report food safety issues and assist in investigations.
  11. Review production records for compliance.
  12. Maintain documentation and serve as a resource for production teams.
  13. Attend shift change meetings for effective communication.
  14. Support food safety programs and regulatory compliance.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety programs, including HACCP and PCQI (certification preferred).
  • Basic analytical testing skills and familiarity with relevant instruments.
  • Ability to read SOPs, GMPs, and safety instructions.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts.
