Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Winter Haven, FL, to enforce the Quality and Food Safety Management System in line with FDA cGMP and industry standards. The role emphasizes audits, CAPA support, and collaboration with the QC Manager.

The position requires a B.S. in a related field and 3+ years in QA/QC, with strong problem solving and communication skills, and will be conducted on-site with standard M-F hours.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry or related Science field with laboratory experience.
• 3 years prior Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Risk Based Quality, Layered Audits based on various criteria.
• Address First Pass Quality Deviation and Rejections.
• Support EMP testing and related GMP practices.
• Investigate customer complaints (cap seal/torque, box seals, labels, leaking containers).
• Identify foreign material risks (Glass, plastic, wood, gasket material, etc.).
• Ensure weight and labeling compliance; validate CCPs and OPRPs.
• Assist with CAPA implementation and sustainment.
• Provide interface with operators during MOC validations.
• Monitor GMPs during MOC, Construction, etc.
• Conduct EMP swabbing and tracking.
