Job summary

Musco Family Olive Company seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Tracy, CA production team. This full-time, hourly position reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and involves inspecting can seams, monitoring brine salinity, sampling fruit, and performing analytical tests to ensure product quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 3–6 months related experience) and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Ability to perform calculations, write clearly and communicate well with others.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plant and can maker double seams from canning lines.
• Monitor salometer of cover brine.
• Take sample from each flume to determine quality of fruit.
• Visual check machines every 30 minutes.
• Prepare necessary quality report.
• Sample and inspect ingredients upon delivery; file report.
• Collect and verify scoring from previous day’s production.
• Perform analytical tests on plant water and cooker cooling water.
• Maintain work area clean, neat, and orderly.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Follow safety rules, including reporting hazards.
• Overtime as needed and meet productivity standards.
• Assist production operations upon management request.
• Report all food safety/quality issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
