The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, tests, and measurements on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer quality standards. Working under the direction of the Quality Control Manager, this role supports production by identifying and documenting non-conformances, maintaining quality records, and helping uphold product integrity throughout the extrusion process.
The Quality Control Technician ensures product quality throughout the extrusion process, from raw materials to finished goods. This involves performing routine inspections, tests, and measurements to verify compliance with both internal specifications and customer quality standards, operating under the guidance of the Quality Control Manager.
Key duties include conducting visual and dimensional inspections using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, Romidot, and Keyence systems, and meticulously recording all results. The role also entails identifying and reporting non-conformances, segregating defective materials, assisting with corrective actions, and maintaining calibration of measuring equipment. Effective communication with team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives are also vital aspects of this position.
