Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm, Monday–Friday) to conduct tests on rotationally molded plastics and assist with data collection and PPAP documentation.

You will report to the Quality Manager, help develop standardized work, perform First Article and In Process Inspections, and measure parts with calipers to assure specifications while maintaining clean, safe work areas and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear PPE and work safely.
• Team-oriented with cross-department coordination.
• Aptitude for multi-tasking and disciplined work pace.

Responsibilities

• Create visual, dimensional or mechanical tests of materials, processes, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Create and submit PPAP documents.
• Participate in gage studies and help develop standardized work instructions.
• Examine and verify quality control data and keep files current.
• Coordinate with document originators to resolve questions and update documents.
• Count or estimate quantities of materials received or shipped.
• Measure with calipers to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a safe, clean condition.
