Job summary

Hanline Foods in Shelby, OH is seeking a Food Safety Technician to oversee day-to-day product testing, monitoring, and reporting. The role supports a four-day work week with a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00 PM–4:00 AM) and training on the 1st shift.

You will verify compliance with USDA, FDA, and ODA regulations, perform moisture/color/fat/weight testing, and document findings in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse setting. overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week and weekends when needed.

Position Title:

Food Safety Technician

Position Summary:

The Food Safety Tech will be responsible for the day-to-day product testing, monitoring, and reporting.

Schedule:

Four day work week!

2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00PM - 4:00AM

Training is on 1st shift

Overtime: As needed

Responsibilities:

• Check product quality to make sure it meets USDA, FDA, ODA, and company regulations.
• Testing of package and processed products according to USDA, FDA, ODA and Company regulations.
• Moisture, color, fat, salt, weight and organoleptic testing.
• Verification of time and temperatures, packaging seals, packaging code dates.
• Environmental monitoring and cleaning checks.
• Monitoring for GMP compliance.
• Monitoring / testing of ingredients from receiving to shipping.
• Lab equipment start up and checks.
• Utilize the hold system.
• Complete documentation as needed.
• Reporting any damaged equipment.
• Fast paced, team-oriented work environment.
• Factory/warehouse setting.
• Associates are expected to be here every day they are scheduled be on time and stay for their entire shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
