Job summary

Crystal Finishing Systems Incorporated is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to inspect painted materials for defects and to document quality data. You will perform standard tests, identify non-conforming parts, and follow the Quality Management System while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in a similar QA/inspection role.
  • Strong attention to detail with visual defect recognition.
  • Basic data entry and accuracy for reporting quality data.
  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect material after paint booth for defects such as pinholes, runs, streaks.
  • Accurately record quality data on designated sheets and enter into computer systems.
  • Perform quality tests (crosshatch, mil thickness, pencil hardness, cure, color, gloss).
  • Identify non-conforming parts and communicate with supervisor.
  • Read, understand and follow work instructions and QMS requirements.
  • Assist others in quality and production-related issues.
  • Operate small hand tools and quality test equipment as needed.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and proper PPE usage.
  • Support efficient workflow based on product and task and notify when supplies are low.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
