West Liberty Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician Utility for the 1st shift in West Liberty, IA. The role focuses on inspecting processes and products to uphold the highest quality standards and supporting the Quality Department as needed.

The position requires 1 year of related experience (food manufacturing preferred), 18+ years of age, US work authorization, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. HACCP preferred; clean, collaborative environment with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year in a related role preferred; food manufacturing preferred.
• Age: Must be 18+.
• Authorization: US work authorization; no sponsorships.
• Certification: HACCP certification preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physical: Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexibility: Overtime/weekends as needed; fast-paced environment.
• Compliance: Pass pre-employment checks including drug test, background, E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular quality checks.
• Inspect and monitor processes and products.
• Conduct pre-op on lines for cleanliness and document it.
• Audit processes using specifications.
• Monitor meat quality and complete QA Hold Forms.
• Check code dates and packaging quality.
• Ensure GMP adherence by team members.
• Monitor product temperatures.
• Perform housekeeping checks.
• Assist production with quality issues.
• Collect finished products for shelf life program.
• Other duties as assigned.
