Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Working knowledge of quality operations in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to solve problems and think analytically.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive interpersonal interaction with staff and customers.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and SSOPs.
• Periodically inspect operation and report deficiencies.
• Assist in customer complaint resolution and preventative actions.
• Communicate QA results to production and QA management.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues.
• Adhere to Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and other food-safety programs.
• Ensure products meet customer quality and food-safety requirements.
• Monitor product parameters to stay within specifications.
• Work extended hours as production demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician coordinates with production employees daily to ensure quality systems and standards are followed throughout the facility. This position will also be responsible for final product verification to include bench top testing, label verification, and product formula verification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance to all regulatory standards including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SSOP’s (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), etc.
• Periodic inspection of all aspects of the operation and report deficiencies
• Assist in customer complaint resolution and preventative action
• Communicate with production personnel and QA Management regarding out of specification food safety and quality monitoring results.
• Collaborate with production personnel to solve problems.
• Responsible for knowledge and adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) for Food Manufacturing standards as trained upon annually.
• Responsible for assuring the products meet customer quality and food safety requirements.
• Responsible for monitoring product parameters to stay within clients’ specifications.
• Expected to work required hours needed to execute production quantities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

• 2+ years previous experience as a QA Tech in a food manufacturing setting, preferred
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of quality operations in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to solve problems
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact in a positive way with all personnel within the organization and customers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Able to think outside of the box and use innovative methods to solve problem

Summary

Schedule:
