Job summary

Wholesale Produce Supply, LLC's Fresh Cut operation in Minneapolis is seeking a detail-oriented QA support to assist with food safety, quality assurance, and documentation during shifts. You will work closely with production teams to ensure product safety and quality standards are met.

Preferred candidates have experience in food environments, strong recordkeeping skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food safety and quality systems.

• Monitor sanitation compliance.
• Perform environmental, equipment, and allergen swabs.
• Record and report related paperwork.
• Report findings or variances.

Job description

POSITION SPECIFICS

• Compensation Information: $21/hour
• Benefits: Include PTO, Medical, Dental, STD and Life Insurance as well as 401k.
• Bag of produce every other week.

Shift Times: 1st and 2nd shift available:

1st shift: Monday through Friday, 10am to finished. (must be able to stay until work is done each day) OR 11am to finished. (must be able to stay until work is done each day)
2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 2pm to 10pm or finished (must be able to stay until work is done each day)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Assisting with the food safety and quality systems.
• Communicate with production supervisors and managers to remedy any inconsistencies or product concerns.
• Monitoring quality parameters in the processing area to ensure compliance with product safety and quality, company standards, customer requirements, GMPs, government regulations.
• Monitor sanitation compliance.
• Environmental, equipment, and allergen swabs.
• Recording and reporting related paperwork and records.
• Report findings or variances.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• English – proficient in business writing and verbal communication
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
• Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

PREFERRED QUALIFIFCATIONS AND SKILLS

• Previous quality assurance experience working in a Food Environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Food processing department maintains an indoor temperature of 34 - 42 degrees Fahrenheit. Floors and surfaces are often wet, and boots are worn to keep feet and legs dry and free of outside contaminants.
